Kids Karate Classes

Give your kids the lifelong gifts of personal success, confidence, discipline, self-defense, build character and leadership qualities!

Our classes have been specifically designed to both teach and challenge children. Through the practice of Tang Soo Do, your child will learn discipline, focus, and confidence as well as develop positive changes in muscle tone, strength, and flexibility.

Our certified black belt instructors work with children of all ages and will push them to reach goals both in and out of class. Classes are available for ages 4 through teen.

Improved Focus

Martial Arts is a total learning activity that involves striking, punching, kicking, basic forms, board breaking. This helps a child’s coordination, balance, and physical fitness. Martial Arts also helps students at Level Up learn self-discipline, respect, and focus. Parents often see an improvement in their child’s learning and an increased attention span and focus in school.

Level Up is committed to empowering you our students the confidence and self-esteem needed to succeed in everyday life. Martial Arts can bring out the positive qualities that have always been a part of you or your child, whether that is inner calm, positive mental attitude, patience, or self-discipline. Martial Arts will help you overcome fear, anger and self-doubt, and leave you feeling confident in any situation.

Engaging Classes

Training at Level Up will benefit you and your child immensely. Martial Arts helps build mental toughness, teaches the value of hard work, and gives you the persistence you need in everyday life. Martial Arts can also be a great stress-relief from school because it helps take your mind off problems you might be facing and ref-focus all your thoughts into activities in front of them.

Anti-Bullying

Level Up Karate is also a great way to help your child with developmental life-skills. It puts them in an atmosphere where they can succeed, gain self-esteem, and learn to never give up. Bullying in schools has become an ever-increasing problem, so giving your child the skills they need to feel confident in redirection and assertiveness. Our students are taught how to redirect verbal assaults and assess situations without needing to physically use their skills.

Weight Loss

Martial Arts is a total body workout - it involves a lot of explosive kicks, speed, and agility. At Level Up Karate, we know the importance of a healthy mind and body. Child-obesity is a serious problem in the United States, so introducing your child to martial arts is a great way to help combat that. You’ll burn hundreds of calories in each class, develop lean muscles, and boost flexibility. Martial Arts is a high-energy training activity that is great for overall health and/or weight loss.

As a parent of two children studying karate with Level Up, I have been very impressed with the staff ensuring that the lessons are catered to each child’s unique skill level and attention span. The kids genuinely look forward to attending sessions as they both feel great pride in demonstrating their progress as well as have a blast in class. Level Up is creating a wonderful community for students of all levels to learn and have fun together.

Self Defense

Self defense for children is more that just being able to say no to a bully. Today’s world holds a lot of unknowns, we help prepare our students with the knowledge on how to properly and confidently handle potentially dangerous situations.

Bullying in schools has become an ever-increasing problem, so giving your child the skills they need to feel confident in redirection and assertiveness. Our students are taught how to redirect verbal assaults and assess situations without needing to physically use their skills.

As a traditional martial arts, part of Tang Soo Do involves learning sets of movements called forms. These forms require both focus and discipline to master.

All children are taught forms as part of their training at Level Up Karate, even in our young age groups. Older and upper level students learn to present their forms by them self in front of their peers.

Our teaching methods encourage practice, increase confidence, technique and memory development.

Students of all levels regularly practice sparring at Level Up Karate.
 
This controlled contact practice reinforces proper technique and develops fast thinking, endurance, strength and discipline.
 
Sparring exercises the mind as much as the body. Proper planning, movement, timing, and execution are required to succeed as students progress to higher levels.
