Master Lori Coppinger

Master Lori Coppinger (Tyler) began her training in Cheezic Tang Soo Do at Central Connecticut State College (University). She holds a B.A. in Sociology, an M.A. in Theology, and an M.S. in Criminal Justice. She is also a graduate of the Connecticut Police Academy and the FBI National Leadership Academy in Quantico VA.

Master Coppinger has had a distinguished career in law enforcement. She was a recipient of the Connecticut Association of Women Police “Officer of the Year” Award, the Connecticut Association of Women Police “Leadership” Award, The American Legion Post 96 “Officer of the Year” Award, and was recognized by Roger Williams University’s “Irene C. Monahan Historical Leadership” Award. She has further received numerous departmental citations and letters of commendation. She retired from the West Hartford Police Department at the rank of Captain, and upon retirement served as Interim Police Chief for the town of Canton and as a private contractor assisting other police departments in internal affairs Investigations. She continues to be an Adjunct Professor in the Criminal Justice program at Northwestern Connecticut Community College where she has taught for many years.
